"A COURSE IN MIRACLES - REAL ANSWERS TO LIFE'S QUESTIONS"

 Like many people, I've spent a lot of time thinking about and trying to understand life.  My primary motivation for this was simple. I thought that, if I could understand life and develop a belief system based on that understanding, I'd have greater peace and happiness, more positive relationships and fewer problems. I'd have all the things I needed and most of the things I wanted. Armed with a proper understanding of life, I thought that I could avoid most of the problems and "pitfalls" that others encountered, and be able to consistently do the things that would bring me peace, joy and the desires of my heart.

Unfortunately, I came to the conclusion a few years ago, that my beliefs about life weren't really working; at least not with the consistency and reliability I was searching for. There just seemed to be too many contradictions (especially about God and religion). Ultimately, I had to admit that I hadn't really found the clear, definitive answers to my fundamental questions about life (you know: who am I, why am I here, how do I find true happiness, etc). I had to admit that the belief systems I'd tried couldn't always be counted on to get me where I wanted to go in life.
 
From the time I was a toddler, I was taught that "God is Love". So, for a while, I did my best to make this idea a major component of my belief system. Sadly, I received less than consistent evidence that a philosophy of "total love" is always the way. I've even gone to the opposite extremes of being "bad" as a way of getting ahead in life; and even mixtures of good and bad.  But none of these seemed to work either.
 
I was taught that I was the creation of an all loving God but my impressions of life to date had shown me that I'd have to go through some pretty negative things before I could hope to leave this world for the peace and joy of heaven. Until that time, it seemed that I had no choice but to be confronted with life's "up and downs", and a ceaseless barrage of never-ending problems! Then, there's the requirement that I have to die. Well, from what I'd seen and heard so far, the prospect, process and outcome of death definitely didn't seem like something that I wanted to look forward to.
 
But my confusion about "life" wasn't over yet. After dying, there's still the "after-life" which, from what I knew, was also full of fear and uncertainty. Then, ultimately, I'd have to go to the "final judgment" where I'm totally powerless while God's making a final decision as to whether I'm going to spend eternity in heaven or hell. I mean, apart from the gravity of the final decision itself, I could just imagine my sheer agony as I got closer to hearing God's final decision. To me, this "waiting" would be tantamount to the highest level of fear possible, let alone hearing God's final decision. And I wondered why a Loving God would require me to do such things. It just didn't make sense!
 
So, while I'd searched for the truth about life for many years, I was still confused. While I'd found some of my beliefs to be true (at least "some of the time"), I realized that I still hadn't found a belief system that was consistently true; one where the beliefs fit logically together; one which worked in such a way as to give me reliable feed-back; one that would provide me with a true and usable guide to successful living. In short, I was still puzzled. I still needed some "real answers". I needed some answers that could be verified by my actual experience. I wanted to know truly, once and for all, 110%, without a shadow of a doubt . . . no more questions!!
 
Well about 8 years ago, I found my "ANSWERS".  They were in a book called "A Course In Miracles".  ACIM has not only answered my questions about life, it's given me a totally integrated and unified belief system . . . a belief system that matches up with my actual life experiences; a belief system that is understandable and proves itself to be true . . . a belief system that always works. If you're not already familiar with ACIM, I strongly suggest that you give it a try. It's got REAL ANSWERS to all of your questions!
